SALVATORE J. LaMENDOLA
Salvatore J. LaMendola is a member of the Trusts and Estates Practice Group of Giarmarco, Mullins, and Horton, P.C. He specializes in all facets of planning for retirement plan benefits, including income tax planning (such as Roth IRA conversions and post-death planning), estate tax planning, asset protection planning (such as "stretch-out" trusts), and charitable gift planning (such as using CRTs with NUA stock).
Mr. LaMendola writes and lectures frequently on his area of specialty. Past audiences have included the Flint Estate Planning Council, the Washtenaw Estate Planning Council, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP).
Mr. LaMendola received his bachelor's degree in accounting (summa cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame in 1990, his license to practice public accountancy from the State of Maryland in 1992, and his law degree from the Notre Dame Law School in 1994. He has been a member of the State Bar of Michigan since 1994 and a member of his present law firm since 1996.
